Who we are

This website is operated by Ashlaar, a general contracting and finishing company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” mean Ashlaar. This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and the rights you have under Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the site and answer you:

• Information you give us. If you use the contact form, call, message us on WhatsApp or email us, we receive the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, company (if you give it) and the content of your message.
• Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser and device type and the pages requested, in server logs needed to deliver the site securely.
• Analytics data, only if you accept. If analytics is enabled on the site and you choose “Accept all” in the cookie notice, we collect anonymised usage data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location.
• Advertising data, only if you accept. If you choose “Accept all”, Meta's advertising tools (the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API) receive information about your visit — the pages you view and whether you click to call us, message us on WhatsApp or email us, or send an enquiry (but not what you type into the contact form) — together with your IP address, browser and device details and Meta's identifiers (the cookies “_fbp” and “_fbc”). We use it to measure and improve our advertising.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare proposals and keep a record of our business correspondence — because you asked us to, or because it is in our legitimate interest as a contractor to answer business enquiries. We use analytics data only with your consent, to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site, and advertising data only with your consent, to measure and improve our advertising. We may also keep or disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

Cookies and similar storage

When you first visit, a notice lets you choose “Accept all” or “Essential only”. Analytics and advertising tools load only after you accept; nothing that is not essential is loaded if you choose Essential only. What the site stores or loads:

• Essential: one entry in your browser's local storage (“ashlaar-cookie-consent”) that remembers your cookie choice. It stays until you clear your browser data.
• Analytics (optional): if analytics is switched on for the site, Google Tag Manager loads only after you accept, and the Google Analytics tag it carries may set cookies such as “_ga”. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the site footer; the notice will then ask you again.
• Advertising (optional): the Meta Pixel loads only after you accept and may set the cookies “_fbp” and “_fbc”; the Conversions API sends the same kind of information (see above) from our server. Meta uses it under its own privacy policy. You can withdraw your choice at any time with “Cookie settings”.
• Google Maps: the Contact page can show a Google map, but only after you press “Show map”. Once it loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, under Google's own privacy policy.

Who else sees your data

Only service providers that help us operate the site and handle enquiries — such as our website hosting provider, the email service that delivers contact-form messages to us, Google (maps, and Tag Manager with analytics if you accept it), Meta Platforms (advertising measurement, only if you accept it) — and authorities where the law requires. These providers may process data outside Saudi Arabia, for example in the United States or Europe; where they do, we rely on them to protect it to a standard consistent with the PDPL. We do not share your data with anyone for their own marketing, except that Meta processes the advertising data described above under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to handle your request and for our business records, and then delete or anonymise them. If you want yours deleted sooner, ask us (see “Your rights”). Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short operational period. Analytics and advertising data is kept for the period set in the analytics and advertising tools.

Your rights

Under the PDPL you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your data, or restrict how we use it, where the law allows;
• stop analytics and advertising processing by withdrawing your consent at any time.

How to use your rights, or complain

Email us at uact@ymail.com with what you would like us to do and enough detail for us to find your enquiry; we will reply and act as the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the regulator for the PDPL.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with modern security headers, and we limit access to enquiry details to the people who need them to respond. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through the contact form.

Children

This site is for businesses and property owners and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the site collects or how we use it, we will update this page and its “last updated” date.
